Information we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily give us through forms on this site:

• Contact & speaking requests — name, email, phone, organization, and event details you provide.

• Email updates & book list — your email address and the topics you choose (campaign updates, book news, appearances).

We do not collect payment information on this site. Purchases and donations, when available, are handled by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe) under their own privacy policies.

How we use it

Your information is used solely to:

• Respond to your message or speaking request.

• Send the updates you asked for — campaign news, book announcements, appearance notices.

• Coordinate booking logistics where relevant (e.g., scheduling an event).

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

How it is stored & processed

Form submissions are stored in a secured database operated by NowLanguage (our service provider) and delivered to the team by email via SendGrid. The site itself is hosted on Vercel.

Access to submissions is limited to authorized administrators through a password-protected dashboard.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share information only with the service providers needed to run this site (hosting, database, and email delivery) and only as necessary to operate it — or if required by law.

Cookies & analytics

This site does not currently use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) are kept by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes only.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe — email us or use the contact form at any time and we will remove you from updates.

• Access or delete — you may request a copy of, or deletion of, the information we hold about you via the contact form.

We honor deletion requests promptly, subject to any record we must legally retain.

Data retention

Contact and speaking inquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and maintain records of correspondence. Email list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or request removal.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The 2018 campaign archive

Pages under /campaign/2018 are a preserved historical snapshot of the original campaign website. Forms there now submit through the same system described in this policy.

Changes & contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
